For a while, now, I have been trying to play decks that I felt would be fun, if not purely competitive. I tend to avoid the hyped decks online for whatever reason. But now I am trying a few online inspired decks and am looking for advice on how to play the decks I have made to their fullest potential.

On the Corp side, I decided to go with NBN TWIY*, an ID I have yet to really play. I started this game playing a pure scorch Weyland, so I decided to go in that direction.

This is the list I have come up with:

_________________________________________

1.3.2.5.4 TWIY* Mini-Scorch

NBN: The World is Yours* (Future Proof)

Agenda (11)
3x AstroScript Pilot Program (Core Set)
2x Breaking News (Core Set)
3x Market Research (Fear and Loathing)
1x Private Security Force (Core Set)
2x TGTBT (True Colors)

Asset (5)
3x Jackson Howard (Opening Moves)
2x Snare! (Core Set) ••••

Upgrade (2)
2x SanSan City Grid (Core Set)

Operation (11)
3x Hedge Fund (Core Set)
1x Restructure (Second Thoughts)
2x Scorched Earth (Core Set) ••••• •••
2x SEA Source (Core Set)
3x Sweeps Week (True Colors)

Barrier (5)
2x TMI (What Lies Ahead)
1x Wall of Static (Core Set)
2x Wraparound (Fear and Loathing)

Code Gate (5)
1x Enigma (Core Set)
2x RSVP (True Colors)
2x Tollbooth (Core Set)

Sentry (5)
2x Data Raven (Core Set)
2x Dracō (What Lies Ahead)
1x Muckraker (Second Thoughts)

12 influence spent (max 12)
18 agenda points (between 18 and 19)
44 cards (min 40)
Cards up to Fear and Loathing

Deck built on NetrunnerDB.

_________________________________________

If anyone has any advice on how to make this deck better, or for that matter what strategies to follow while playing it, I would love to hear from you.

You may be sorely disappointed with TMI, especially in TWIY. Any runner with link or any rich runner (most of them these days) is going to beat your trace and make you derez it. It's a money sink for you. Similar with Mukraker outside of Making News. Those 2 credits go a long way. I like the Snare and TGTBT because we see less of that these days in NBN and the surprise might just win you some games.

So what would be better ice to round out the deck, without spending any influence?

That has been my main problem with this deck so far.

I think it's a bit short of cash. I've found FA to be surprising money-hungry. Plus you have some expensive ICE and hitting the double-scorch with a SEA source isn't going to be cheap (need to have at least 3 more credits than the runner, 4 for Andromeda).

This is what I have run with quite a bit of success:

Deck Created with CardGameDB.com Android: Netrunner Deck Builder

Identity:
NBN: Making News (Core)

Total Cards: (49)

Agenda: (12)
AstroScript Pilot Program (Core) x3
Breaking News (Core) x3
Project Beale (Future Proof) x3
Market Research (Fear and Loathing) x3

Asset: (0)

ICE: (18)
Bastion (Creation and Control) x3
Datapike (Creation and Control) x3
Draco (What Lies Ahead) x3
Enigma (Core) x3
Wall of Static (Core) x3
Data Raven (Core) x3

Operation: (17)
Scorched Earth (Core) x3 ■■■■
Hedge Fund (Core) x3
Restructure (Second Thoughts) x3
Closed Accounts (Core) x2
Midseason Replacements (Future Proof) x3
Sweeps Week (True Colors) x3

Upgrade: (2)
SanSan City Grid (Core) x2

Total Agenda Points: 21

Influence Values Totals -
Haas-Bioroid: 0
Jinteki: 0
NBN: 32
The Weyland Consortium: 12

-Basically all of the ice are cheap and ETR. Data Raven WILL tag the runner.
-Sweeps Week is nice since the runner will generally try to keep a full hand expecting a tag and bag. Hedge + Restructure will keep you plenty wealthy.
-Midseason is spendy BUT when you drop that many tags on a runner they tend not to like it. (at least in our local meta)
-Closed accounts let you keep the runner slightly less rich.
-San San gives you the option to "never" advance (eg you can score 3 different types of agendas straight from your hand)
-And of course Scorched lets you flatline for a win.
-With this you will only ever need to set up 1 remote server.

After recommendations given, I changed up quite a few things. This is the list I have now:

1.3.2.5.1 MN Scorch

NBN: Making News (Core Set)

Agenda (10)
3x AstroScript Pilot Program (Core Set)
3x Market Research (Fear and Loathing)
1x Private Security Force (Core Set)
3x Project Beale (Future Proof)

Asset (3)
3x Jackson Howard (Opening Moves)

Upgrade (2)
2x SanSan City Grid (Core Set)

Operation (18)
1x Closed Accounts (Core Set)
3x Hedge Fund (Core Set)
2x Invasion of Privacy (Opening Moves)
2x Midseason Replacements (Future Proof)
2x Restructure (Second Thoughts)
3x Scorched Earth (Core Set) ••••• ••••• ••
2x SEA Source (Core Set)
3x Sweeps Week (True Colors)

Barrier (5)
2x Bastion (Creation and Control)
3x Wall of Static (Core Set)

Code Gate (5)
1x Chum (Core Set)
2x Enigma (Core Set)
2x RSVP (True Colors)

Sentry (6)
1x Caduceus (What Lies Ahead) ••
3x Data Raven (Core Set)
2x Dracō (What Lies Ahead)

15 influence spent (max 15)
20 agenda points (between 20 and 21)
49 cards (min 45)
Cards up to Fear and Loathing

Deck built on NetrunnerDB.

The only thing that really worries me now is having 16 ice, which seems slightly low. Thoughts?

Don't be too worried about 16 ICE.
It may see a little thin but you should be fine. I see some decks that have even less ICE and are still perfectly viable.

My best recommendation from here is play it a few times and see what does and does not work for you and make adjustments accordingly.

In my experience...no.

Many runners will make a run earlier with their clicks. They do this because if they eat a tag they can then spend their last click(s) to clear the tag(s) (and thus avoid a firey death).

But it does add another layer of stress to the Data Raven. Only being able to run on a Raven'd server on first or second click can be troublesome.

Might swap in NADP for Market Research. If they pay to steal it, less credits to avoid traces/tags!
