So how accurate is the game length estimate of 90 minutes and how high does that go for a 4-5 player game?

I'm looking for another moderate length game because we rarely have time for a single game to take 3 hours.

For us it takes 4-5 hours for 4-5 players.

Wow, the only times I've seen a 4-5 player game go over three hours is when rules explanation is included and there is more than one new player. Usually, for me, a 4-5 player game takes between two, and two and a half hours, sometimes stretching to three.
I also like it as a three player game, in which case it takes between 60 and 90 minutes.

Woah. This is ridiculous. My groups are very slow and I've finished all my games in under 3 hours easily. Most of them have been with 4 or 5 players. I think our first game, with 5 players, took us exactly 3 hours. I played a 3-player game in 1 hour once.

I'd say your average--once you know it--will be around 2 hours.

Are all of these estimates for playing to 8 or 10 points?

Oh, right. That's a good point. My estimates are mostly for 8 point games. I pretty much only play a 10 point game with three or two players. Those extra two points can add a surprising amount of playtime with four or five players.

We always play to 10. 8 points seems anticlimactic. That may be why our games take longer than yours.

30 to 40 minutes per player is how long the games I've played have taken except for the first game. The game is fun and simple. Battles happen between 2 people without 3rd party interference, movement is very straight forward. The game would be even faster if everybody in my group didn't have to do the math before engaging in battle.

"I have 5 + the elephant is 6. I have my 3 attack card left and a DI card for +2 more. You have 5 + 1 for you blue defense tile, you have your 4 card left and 2 available Di cards...."

JUST ATTACK MAN!!!

In short, I agree with about 30 minutes per player

Our first play with 5 players took 3 hours. It should come down once we learn the power tiles. Too much referencing.
