Rainbow Deck 3.0 is released! You can get the deck for
- $33 for full deck at PrinterStudio (shipping $8.60 in US, discount coupons available)
- $18 for full deck at DriveThruCards (shipping $5 in US)
- $21 for full deck OR $12 for half-deck at TGC (shipping $6 in US)
- $18-$24 for full deck at Artscow (shipping included with discount coupon).

The quality of the cardstock is PrinterStudio > DriveThruCards > Artscow > Gamecrafter. For PrinterStudio, the RD comes in Premium 310gsm (linen) cards. I do not get any margin at Artscow, so if you are ordering from the US, I recommend and hope that you order from PrinterStudio and DriveThruCards.

If you have bought the Rainbow Deck, do add it to your collection here at BGG and help to review or comment about the RD in forums or geeklists whenever it is relevant. Thanks.

I got my 2.0 version from TGC and have recently ordered (but have yet to receive) a couple of decks from Artscow. When I get my AC order, I will compare the quality of the cards to see which one I will order.

I'm in the US, so shipping from TGC is $6.15 for me at the moment - which makes AC marginally cheaper (about 10%) with the POKERFACE deal.

Either way, I plan on ordering a deck in the next month or so (depending on how long it takes for me to get my other order).

Is $6.15 the least expensive shipping option? I think it is quite expensive for just 3 decks of cards. I presume they do not purposely mark-up shipping costs.

You can order the full 162-card rainbow deck and another deck of 52 cards from now till end June for just $20 from Artscow's sister site, www.cowcow.com: http://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1183420/4-for-s20-free-shipp...

To do this, simply follow the thread instructions. Tldr; replace the letters "arts" with "cow" in the Artscow URLs above and just add to cart.

That's $15 for the RD, and $5 for a Decktet!

Just wanted to give you a head's up that you can now setup a "Store" at Printer Studio and sell decks of cards through there. Printer Studio has the best printing quality of any PoD company I've seek, and they even have an option for "linen" finished cards that are of exceptional quality. The price isn't much more than Drive Thru Cards, and Printer Studio regularly offers discounts and free shipping codes, making it often times cheaper than DTC.

Definitely would suggest you look into making the Rainbow deck available through Printer Studio. I just ordered the full 320-card Badger Deck and turned it out great.

Just wanted to chime in and say that my order of the Badger Deck I ordered from Printer Studio didn't come out perfect. My smaller, "extension" deck (cards #12-20) came out smaller than the rest. I'm currently sending it back and they're going to send me a replacement.

In the meantime, I've just ordered a copy of the Rainbow Deck through DriveThrusCards. Hopefully the quality is decent enough. Now I just need the accessories pack with the chips, dice, and meeples.

Thanks for the heads up on Printerstudio. I will look into that...I am especially curious about the linen finish cards.

If you decide to make this available via PrinterStudio, update here please. I have been eyeing the Rainbow Deck for a while and would buy immediately from PrinterStudio.

Great deck!

Is 2.0 going to be available anywhere besides Artscow? Think the sequential numbers was a big part of the appeal for me with this.

RD 2.0 is no longer available other than artscow where I just upload the new version and left v2.0 intact. The sequential numbers are now vertical because fanning of the cards will be a problem especially for larger number of cards and large values. It is not that difficult to see the sequential numbers vertically.

Ah. Completely missed the fact that the suits are numbered.

Gamecrafter has just changed their card stock to a better quality one. So it might not be the worst quality as compared to the others. I will need to see if someone has a review on their new card stock before update the first post in this thread, regarding the card quality.

What would be a wise/frugal sleeve option? If there is one?

I grabbed a pair of decks from DriveThru, & my imagination was swirling as I shuffled them up. & the quality of the cards disappointed as they began shredding (splitting tearing). They're still very usable, I just won't enjoy shuffling them ever again.

Thanks for your time.

Thanks for trying out RD! I wonder if others have similar feedback regarding DriveThru cards. A few years ago the feedback is quite good regarding their card quality. For sleeve option, I believe there will be those thin sleeves sold at card game stores. It might not be cheap though considering there are 162 cards to sleeve.
