I bought Bruges recently.
I don't like to carry games boxes that are bigger than necessary.
The biggest this in he game is the board, but it is almost redundant.
It is only used to track score, influence and progress in canals.
I planned to carry cards in PRO Dual Standard Black Deck Box and coins, tokens etc. in some other box. Two boxes together have 25% volume of original box. 4 x times compression.
So if the board could be replaced with cards and/or some other small components, game would be much more portable.
I see it as:
- 4 cards (5 with expansion) for players to track canals
- 1 card as influence track
- 1-2 cards with VP track
- manual in pdf (on Kindle)
- optionally one card to store dice
- one card to "dock" ships from expansion.
So if somebody done something similar, could you publish it?
I will probably do ugly, but functional version of this mod, but if somebody done it already why reinvent the wheel
p.s.
There are already A4 player mats , but they don't have canals tracks
And are probably too big.

You could probably use chits of some sort for victory points eg. The victory point chits from Puerto Rico or Small World. In reality very few points are scored in game anyhow - most are taken in the final scoring.
