When using the advanced rules, are Condition cards worth 2 points + the effect or does the effect replace the 2 point base value?

If it's the former, the Rotten card seems pretty weak compared to the others as it's automatically worth only 0 + the number of Conditions on the floor. I imagine it's rare that there'll be more than 2 on the floor.

Thanks for the question, Alessandro.

The conditions are worth 2 points + the modifier unless stated otherwise, such as in the case of Rotten.

Rotten has a unique variable state which makes it both the least powerful green card and most powerful green card in the advanced rules. Think of it like this - when there's no other greens, it's like you've got this rotten substance that's too slushy and disgusting to hold. But at other times, you've braved scooping up the mother of all disgusting food fight ammunition.

In the best case with 5 green cards on the floor, you'd be adding 5 + 2 from your food and topping for a 7 point hit - nearly half of a win. Yes, the card needs 3 of the 5 to be green to be better than normal. It is also possible to get an 8 point throw with rotten, if someone tackled or the zombie got involved.

The best character to make use of Rotten is Dr. Floyd. He can collect green cards, and then transmogrify the floor into a mess of conditions, aiming to throw his rotten masterpiece the following round.

Of course, we're not opposed to house rules around here. If you prefer to make Rotten 2+, that's fine. You may need to set a cap at 7 or 8 points.
