I'm doing my first real reading of the rules tonight and ran into a bit of a conceptual snag.

Under enemy movement, it reads:

1. The enemy ship must move as close to the player ship as possible.

Yet, this example is given:



A and C, with a single intervening space, aren't as close as B, which is adjacent. Why are A and C legal positions?

AFAIR: diagonal is not adjacent in this game!

So A, B and C are all two steps away...
