An awesome card from allies point of view. No doubt. But from the other side of the table this card coming out twice in one hand ( through a HQ card return ) and seeing 4 Essex class carriers rebuilt in
Miri for example. Does anybody know how hard those things are to kill in late war!!?? Then they rebuild them with coconut logs! seriously the card should have a little stronger restriction on where the units can come back to . IMO

Maybe another way of viewing this card's effects is that the damage to the units was not as bad as initially thought by the enemy. It happened more than once where the Japanese or the US thought they had done more damage to an enemy ship than they really had.

This is especially true with Yamato. How many times have you hit that thing only to see the Japanese player bring it back into the game with its naval replacements?

I am pretty sure this card is meant to model the exceptionally fast repair time of the USS Yorktown on or about May 30, 1942.

All cards are based on history for added flavor but it doesn't necessarily mean that's exactly what it models, Matt has a good point, sometimes it means you didn't really dish out as much damage as you thought. I think it's great how it adds uncertainty.

Consider yourself Yamamoto getting an overly optimistic battle report about sinking enemy ships that end ups biting you in the rear end later on.
