As currently written in the Mr. Card Game wiki, the Hardcore rules say:

"Whenever your combat is hardcore, you risk suffering retaliation from the monster, nemesis or boss you defeat. Each monster, nemesis or boss has a counter attack value equal to the type and number of the stat drop listed on the bottom of the card."

It then gives an example of a boss and how you can receive an injury printed on the back of the boss card if you don't overcome it's counter attack value.

Questions:

1. Does the Delevel Monster X ability on some skills reduce the value of the counter attack?

2. As stated, monsters and nemesis cards have counter attack values but there don't seem to be rules about what kind of retaliation you receive if you fail to counter attack. Is that for an expansion?

Hi Fletcher,

Delevel reduces a monsters Power (the number you need to equal or exceed it). It has no effect on retaliation. As for your second question, looks like you already found the answer.

Keep gaming,

Graydon
