I'd like to know if there's any difference game-wise between those two editions. Is there a way to convert a 1st edition in a 2nd edition (maybe the only difference is in rules or errata that can be downloaded)?

The map errata will be incorporated, the counter errata will be incorporated, the counters from c3i #19 will be included, there will be a sheet of round coins, the Galley Squadrons will be moved to those spaces on the counter sheet where the Talent markers where.

The rules, playbook, charts, and cards will be updated to include the latest clarifications. I am attempting to make the rules clearer so that they are more accessible and consistent.

I have no idea if GMT will offer any components, aside from the map, outside the 2nd edition boxed game.
