I'm looking for an old 70s-80s space themed game which I cannot remember the name of. The playing pieces were space ships, you had to travel on different rings, with the center being earth, and during the game you had missions/problems to solve. Any ideas on what it may be?

I have no idea which game you are looking for but I initially thought your title read "Old Spice themed game".

And now I want to play that.

It could be Star Traders based on the description of the gameplay, but the game board is all wrong.

Pete (helps?)

Perhaps you could find it among theese: http://boardgamegeek.com/search/boardgame/page/1?advsearch=1...

It's a search of games here at BGG from 1970 - 1990 with a space theme.

Rings with Earth at the centre sounds like Blast-Off! but not sure about the missions and problems to solve.

I'd vote SolarQuest, the board description fits it to a "T", though as pointed out there are no specific missions per se.

However, players do have to manage their fuel depots and can risk getting stranded in an orbit with no fuel available.
Play is such one might think of it as a mission / problem to solve.
