For Love - Once per turn, when another player must discard 1 or more Skill Cards (except when discarding down to his hand limit), you may draw 1 Treachery Card to reduce the number of cards he discards by 1.
Not seeing a whole lot of love for For Love when Athena needs to be pro-human, or more pro-human:
1) It seems it's mostly in collaboration with humans to keep them from losing good cards.
2) Taking a Treachery is nice when you want to travel between vessels. Mostly while infiltrating.
3) very much so corner cases with sending a human to Sickbay with Violent Outbursts.
4) give humans a Mutiny as a "longshot" or hail mary for something good (better with NuZarek in play), but especially if the target human's already in the Brig.
e1) pair it up with At Any Cost (Peg) so that it's now positive in skill checks
e2) give humans Treachery to provide strength in conjunction with At Any Cost (Peg)
e3) better set up Destiny Deck for Airlock or Resistance HQ skill checks (both Peg)
e4) Meta-gaming the CFB (Exo) to put raiders out.
e5) Meta-gaming and putting out civvies to keep raiders from firing on Gally (almost never happens without CFB or one of the other objectives though)
it does seem to help a majority of the Motives though:
pop 6 or less = put out civvies and raiders with the 0s, and help fail skill checks
FTL or AQ damaged = fail skill check on crisis, but more so put more raiders for CFB and BB
the ones for Morale and Food too.
you have an Mcard, another player in the Brig = the ones that dole out Mcards, and double up as potentially brigging someone.
3 Treachery in hand

Yes, it's great to receive Treachery to be able to finish Make an Ally and Fight with Honor motives, and maybe A Justified Response too by stalling the pursuit track by adding some raiders through Dradis Contact.
Usually you won't know which side you should be helping until the sleeper phase, so being able to stock up on cards until that time is handy. If you end up helping the humans, you don't have to use those cards (or you can strategically spike where needed to push your motives). If you end up helping the cylons, you can use them in whatever way is best.
For me, the benefit is just being able to go into the second half of the game with a handful of cards, which is pretty good no matter how sleeper goes.
I appreciate Athena's design a lot. See, if she's Grieving, she still gets to draw cards, and if she's brigged, she still gets to do whatever she wants. Granted, all of these cards would be treachery, and if she's pro-human, that might not be all that helpful. But see the recent discussion about how bad treachery is or isn't - humans can find good uses for treachery all the time.
