Played my first basic game last night and found this to be one of the more enjoyable racing games I've played.

One of my friends and I were trying to figure out what year and teams were represented by the Car Charts and robot cars. Here are our thoughts, what do you think?

We believe the representative year is likely '93 or '94

Cars 0/2 are Williams
Cars 5/6 are Benetton
Cars 7/8 are McLaren
Cars 14/15 are Jordan
Cars 25/26 are Ligier
Cars 27/28 are Ferrari

Black Robot Cars are Sauber
Yellow Robot Cars are Lotus (93) or Tyrrell (94)
Purple Robot Cars are Minardi

And how did you come to this?
I don't recall Sauber being so fast in the early 90's.

I miss Footwork Mugen Honda on your list.

Yes, I Agree. But, Robots can be anyone. I'm working in 1994 grid:

Williams, McLaren, Ferrari, Benetton, Tyrrel, Jordan and Sauber (numbers are wrong, I have to fix).

Problem: FAST and SLOW use 3 cars each. Need to paint 3 cars for some teams.

But how often do you use three robot cars of the same color?
You could alway split one team up as both a fast and a slow robot car.

Think I'll go for the 1990 season:

A friend suggested: paint 3 cars (purple), 3 cars in yellow and 2 black in black, like official cars. That would solve all problems. Okay, it would not be real, but a team with 3 cars is also not.

I agree that Sauber wasn't all that fast, however as the top 6 teams seem to be represented...

Following a suggestion from a friend: 2 black cars, 3 purple cars and 3 yellow cars, followed by Williams, Ferrari and McLaren 1994.

You painted the metal cards available as extra from Gotha or they are from a different producer?

They're not the Gotha ones -- the Gotha ones don't have such wide front wings.

The small rear wide looks like they are the ShapeWay miniatures that are available.
