In a game we played today something strange happened. We played with Bunker, Fanatic, and Fixer against Spite. Fixer was before Fanatic in turn order. He died, and bunker died too. But the Fixer's ability that makes a player bring a card back from discard to play helped us win the game in a strange way. The Fanatic has a card that stays in play and each time she dies, it brings her back to 10 HP. Fixer helped her come back to life several times by bringing back this card each time after she died. We won the game, but the condition seemed like broken, because there seemed that it was impossible for us to lose! Did we make a mistake somewhere?

Not broken, but definitely a good combo. It's also worth noting that you were playing against Spite, who is awfully predictable since he stops playing cards all together. Combos like this work very well against him.

No, it's not broken, because it's not possible. Once you're incapacitated your cards are all removed from play. They're not just discarded.

One of Mr. Fixer's incapacitated abilities says
"Select an equipment card in a hero trash, put it into play."

He's bringing back Fanatic's "Aegis of Resurrection". Which is an equipment card that, reset's Fanatic's HP to 10 if she was about to die, and then get's put into Fanatics trash. Every time it get's destroyed, incapacitated Mr. Fixer brings it back. The only way this loop is upset is if "Aegis of Resurrection" is destroyed, and then Fanatic is killed before Mr. Fixer get's a chance to bring it back.

Most Villains can either destroy the Aegis and then knock Fanatic out or just take her down by doing more than 10 damage in a round.

Spite can't destroy the Aegis, but he can force Fanatic to pick it up if she doesn't have enough other cards to pick up. Once Fanatic ran out of equipment in her discard pile, Spite should have been able to kill her.

Well, in our case this took long enough for Fanatic to kill the Spite first :)

I was once in a 5-player game against The Matriarch on advanced. At the end of the game, the only hero still alive was Young Legacy. One of the incapacitated heroes (Visionary?) was using a power to put a villain trash card on the top of her deck. Another incapacitated hero (Tempest?) was using a power to make a hero immune to one type of damage. So every round, The Matriarch played a one-shot card, and our last surviving hero was immune to its damage. We eventually won by whittling the villain down a few points of damage a turn.

Basically, you will occasionally get some dumb combos using the incapacitated powers.

Yes, it seems that that's true :)

Pretty sure that's promo Ra. We used it to lock down the Ennead by making them play the "add another Ennead, heal all Enneads" card every turn, which didn't activate their effects since it didn't have an icon.

In general, the incapacitated hero abilities that can break the game are the ones that don't replicate any repeatable effect of living heroes. No living hero can recycle any hero's equipment infinitely many times, or make the villain play the same card infinitely many turns in a row. Dead Tempest is a rare exception in that Legacy can break the game in the same way while alive.
