Hi,

the revised edition rules introduces the term "depleted planet" for the case a planet's resource counter reaches 0 during upkeep stage. In that case the resource dice is removed from the planet (page 5).

My question:
Is the dice permanently removed for the rest of the game (A) or can it be placed back on the planet with a mining action (B)?

I would opt for B since the dice replaces the first edition resource tokens which always could be added to planets with a mining action (respecting maximum resources and population cube distribution). But maybe the term "depleted planet" describes a new concept/ruling like option A in the revised edition rules since it does not appear in the first edition rules.

Thank you.

(B),You are correct!

The Dice is removed which just indicate the planet has no resource. You can increase the resource by mining action.
