Anyone seen cards damaged because they were a bit too low in the booster pack and ended up getting the side sort of melted due to the sealer? I'm fine with the warpage, but this is sort of a drag since the cards are now physically damaged. Is this something WizKids will fix?

Haven't seen anything like that. My group has been through 7 gavity feeds at this point. Do you have pictures so we can see what you're referring to?

I had that with one card. Fortunately I already had it. But it made me more careful when opening boosters

I'll try to snag a picture of it tonight. All the cards are currently sitting under a pile of board games getting flattened while I'm at work today.

But hey, at least there's no bubble gum stains on them.

I've got one rare Cyclops that was damaged this way. I'll upload a photo later today.

I had perhaps 2 cards with significant indentations in the middle from dice corners - those don't come out.

I had the exact same thing happen to my SR Black Widow. The damage wasn't real bad, but it's still very noticeable.

My first booster box had several cards damaged in this way.
How you open the pack does not effect this damage since it is caused by the cards being positioned too low in the pack when it goes through the sealer. The cards end up being crimped together by the sealer, and in some cases they were crimped into the seal of the pack itself.

I'm not too familiar with the CCG/CD(ice)G genre. Do companies normally replace these cards if they're damaged or are you pretty much SOL?

yep, i had two packs like this and wouldn't it figure one was the SR Black Widow.

My first rare had a little damage to the bottom, won't affect play but good thing I probably will not be trading much. I am bothered by the "warping" all the cards have from the dice and packing but that can't be helped.

I've had a few cards that ended up that way. There was literally nothing you could do about it, as the cards were stuck together, and the top one crimped.

Exactly my issue.

I had that happen as well. The two cards were sealed together along the entire bottom edge.
It was a pack my daughter was opening and she was pretty unhappy. I had to trade her for them.

Wow, that really sucks. I'd probably write an email to Wizkids (with low expectations for anything in return.)
Our feed had one card like that but in a much less extreme way.

Yes, I received cards exactly like that today, the bottoms are peeling off and damaged. Kind of a bummer as it was the first booster I ever opened for the game :/ I'm stunned how messed up and bent even the non-damaged cards are even though they came straight out of the box.

This was mine. I'm glad the common took the brunt of the damage. Strange it appears to be the black widow SR only thus far.
Any suggestions on opening these packs? I've been able to tell if some are stuck just by manipulating the packs pre-opened. If you buy a feed that doesn't help much though.
The other thing is when you know, you might try to open the pack surgically, cutting along the foil sides with scissors, then ever so gently peeling back the cards once they are out of the pack. It doesn't prevent all damage, but I feel It's helped out a few cards.

Here's mine. As you can see, Dr. Octopus was on top of Black Widow in the booster pack.
