When I was a young man, when we wanted something copied we sent it to the scriptorium.

This is pure gold.

Edit: I've watched this thing three times today and I laugh out loud at the end every time. Thanks for the laughs

When I raid a monastery, I always stop by at the scriptorium to replace my insoles with nice fresh vellum.

Funniest thing I've seen all day... Of course, it's still early, but this day is off to a good start.

Nice example of rules lawyering, too.

When it is your turn to send a VASSAL move, the wait is excruciating. When it's my turn, well, I've been busy.

The lawyer who did the case posted a comment on NYT page. He claims that this was not how it happened, and that he was laid back in his chair.

Lawyer saying the truth? Yeah, sure

I remember watching the UK Antiques Roadshow and the fellow had an award from his father for being the best 'hoover' salesman. The award mentions V.C. salesman, and neither the fellow nor the appraiser knew what that meant. I looked at it and immediately translated to 'vacuum cleaner' salesman.

I'm laughing so hard, I need a Kleenex...
