I started playing Ultra Quick wrestling while ago and it is great, especially if you are like me and don't always have a lot of time to play something.

At the time of starting I only had the 1991 set that came with the original rules, so I had to take some liberties with somethings like tag teams for instance. I don't really care though as I like the game more as a fictitious wrestling world with real wrestlers rather than a true simulation. That way I don't have to worry about things like who was in what real federation and if someone ever beat someone. It also ensures that everyone has a chance to win the title if given a shot as I like underdogs.

A tournament was held for both the faces and the heels to establish rankings. The top heels and faces were then in another tournament to establish champions. After an initial tournament, Hulk Hogan was the DBW champ, Mr Perfect the Intercontinental champ, Ultimate Warrior the US champ and Hacksaw Jim Duggan the TV champ. The Road Warriors would then become the tag champs.

First Blood
Televised events began atypically with a televised PPV-level event to kick off the federation: First Blood.

1. Junkyard Dog vs Sting – No Contest. In the first match of the night Sting took on the Junkyard Dog in a friendly duel. Before Junkyard could make it out to the ring, he was attacked by the Road Warrior (and one half of the tag team champions), Hawk. Sting challenged the Road warriors to a title match with his now tag team partner, Junkyard Dog

2. Vader – Vader Bomb pin over Abdullah the Butcher. Vader took on Abdullah the Butcher. Thrown outside the ring, Vader was attacked by none other than the Macho Man Randy Savage. Despite the interference, Vader landed the Vader Bomb and would go on to get the pin

3. David Samartino - Interference win over Sid Vicious. Hoping to get his career back on track David Samartino challenged Sid Vicious in should have been a squash match. It would start out that way until Vicious was attacked by a group of heels claiming that Vicious was going too easy on Samartino. Thrown back into the ring, all under the nose of a distracted ref, Samartino picked up the win.

4. El Gigante –Face Claw submission win over IRS. In a very vanilla match, El Gigante took on I.R.S. To a symphony of disapproving boo’s from the crowd, El Gigante would land the Face Claw and pickup a submission victory.

5. Rick Steiner –pin over Big Bossman. In an even match up, the Big Bossman took on Rick Steiner. Steiner landed his Dog Faced Bulldog on Bossman leading to a clean pin victory. Despite his win, Steiner left the ring to boo’s by the fans who just hate Steiner’s gimmick.

6. Warlord – pin over Bad news Brown. Bad News Brown faced one half of the Powers of Pain, Warlord. Brown did not see Cactus Jack sneak down to ringside and, coming off and irish whip, Cactus tripped Brown, allowing the Warlord to score the pin fall. Cactus laughed his way back up the ramp.

7. Bam Bam Bigelow – pin over Mr Perfect. Bam Bam Bigelow squared off against Mr Perfect in a non-title hardcore match up. Despite the hardcore rules, Bigelow played it straight, attempting to show Perfect who had the better technical skills. Following a headbutt of the top rope, Bigelow scored a clean pin victory.

8. Tag Title – Road Warriors; pin over Sting / Junkyard Dog. In the main event of the evening, the Road Warriors faced Sting and Junkyard Dog in a title match. Hoping to gain retribution for the attack earlier Junkyard ran out to the ring. Sting managed to foil a sneak attack by the Road Warriors on Junkyard once again, but the damage was done. Road Warriors retain their titles with an easy victory.

Premiere of the weekly tv program

Primetime Ep 1

1. Macho Man Randy Savage – diving elbow, pin over Vader. Hoping to score pay back for the interference at First Blood, Vader squared off against the Macho Man. Pumped up by Vader’s music, the fans gave him an enthusiastic welcome. The fan support wouldn’t help him, however, as Macho man was just too fast for Vader. After landing a diving elbow, Macho Man picked up the clean pin victory.

2. Sid Vicious – DQ win over Jake the Snake Roberts. Sid Vicious faced Jake the Snake Roberts. Hoping to capitalize on his size advantage , Vicious went to work on Snake. Vicious was so focused he didn’t even notice the Ultimate Warrior charging down the ramp, chair in hand. After a swift crack to the back of his head, Vicious was easily pinned by Roberts. The commissioner intervened, however, giving Vicious the DQ victory and setting a match for next week.

3. Cactus Jack vs Bad News Brown – No Contest. Angry for the interference last week, Bad News Brown hoped to take Cactus Jack down a notch in a no DQ match. Cactus stood in the ring with a sly smile waiting as Brown made his way down to the ramp. What he was waiting for, however, was for Sgt Slaughter to attack Brown from behind as Jack had previously arranged. Hulk Hogan had Brown’s back and, being no disqualification, this match turned into a tag match.

4. Cactus Jack and Sgt Slaughter – Slaughter pin Hogan. Hogan and Brown faced off against Cactus Jack and Sgt Slaughter. Even Hulkamania couldn’t run wild over Cactus and Slaghter, though, especially when Hogan was attacked by IRS of Money Inc. Slaughter would go on to score the pinfall over Hogan.

5. Hawk – top rope clothesline pin over Junkyard Dog. Continuing a night of revenge, Junkyard Dog took on Hawk of the Road Warriors. Having the support of the fans Junkyard took it to Hawk. Though, he couldn’t match the strength of Hawk especially after one overzealous fan threw a drink in Hawk’s face. Fueled by rage Junkyard was plowed by Hawk’s top rope clothesline for an easy win.

6. Natural Disasters – pin win over Steiner Bros. In the first match of a mini-tournament to find the #1 contenders for the tag title, the Steiner Bros. (Scott Steiner and Rick Steiner) took on the Natural Disasters (Earthquake and Bam Bam Bigelow). Unable contend with the sheer size of the disastrous duo, the Natural Disasters pick up the win and moved on to the finals.

7. Hart Foundation – pin win over Money Inc. Money Inc (Ted Dibiase and Irwin R. Shyster) faced the Hart Foundation (Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart). The close match ended in an unexpected twist when Jake Roberts handed Neidhart a pair of brass knuckles. With the ref distracted Neidhart clocked Dibiase picking up the win.

8. Tag team #1 contender tournament finals -Hart Foundation – pin win over Natural Disasters. In the finals of the #1 contender tournament, the Hart Foundation squared off against the Natural disasters. Both teams set up the match with veteran skill, cutting brilliant promos. Unable to capitalize on their size advantage, the strength of the Hart Foundation was just too much as they scored the pinfall and became the #1 contenders for the tag titles.

9. Animal – steel cage win over Sting. Hoping to do better than his previous tag team partner, Sting faced Animal in a steel cage match. In the midst of the match Jim Neidhart of the Hart Foundation broke into the cage. Hoping to send a message as the new #1 contenders he attacked Animal. Even with the uninvited assistance Sting lost as Animal quickly escaped through the now open cage door.

Primetime Ep2

1. Brad Rheingans – cradle suplex pin over Buzz Sawyer. Brad Rheingans and Buzz Sawyer opened up the show. Unexpectedly the Titan-tron cut to a video of Buzz girlfriend being kidnapped. Distracted, Brad was able to hit the cradle suplex and score the win.

2. Sid Vicious vs Ultimate Warrior – No contest. Eager to get some justice for interfering with his match last week against Jake the Snake, Sid Vicious faced off against the Ultimate Warrior. Mid-match, Randy Savage made his way down the ramp announcing to Vicious that it was him that led the attack on Vicious at First Blood. Before Warrior could capitalize on the distraction, the Macho Man attacked him. The Ultimate Warrior wasn’t out though, and, forgetting all about Vicious, the two began a match instead. Vicious is cheated once again.

3. Macho Man Randay Savage – diving elbow pin over Ultimate Warrior. Despite the Warrior’s insane strength the Savage was simply too much for the Warrior. A diving elbow is all it took and Macho picked up the victory, proving a point to Vicious at the same time.

4. Vader vs Scott Steiner – Double Count out. Vader faced off against Scott Steiner. Earlier in a pre-match interview, Vader was attacked and pepper-sprayed in the face. Being Big Van Vader, he toughed it out and went out to his match. While Steiner and Vader battled outside the ring, two masked men attacked them both. The ref, distracted by something, missed this entirely and declared the match a draw after a double-count out.

5. Road Warrior Animal – Gorilla Press slam, pin over Junkyard Dog. Animal faced off against Junkyard Dog. Despite outclassing Junkyard, Animal still restored to cheating. Following a Gorilla Press slam Animal picked up an easy victory.

6. Bad News Brown – DQ victory over Cactus Jack. Cactus Jack, still being a bully, took on Bad News Brown. During his ring entrance Cactus attacked Brown throwing him into the ring. Once the match finally began, Cactus used every dirty trick in the book until the ref caught Sgt Slaughter tripping Brown after an irish whip. Brown picked up the DQ victory.

7. Sting – Scorpion Deathlock, submission over Hawk. Sting faced Hawk hoping to fare better than he did last week against Animal. Hawk wasn’t alone as he made his way to the ring and Animal tried to intimidate the ref the entire match. Sting persevered and, feeling pumped, challenged Hogan to a title match

8. Hogan – Leg drop, pin over Sgt Slaughter. Hogan met Sgt Slaughter one on one. Hogan, surprisingly fast and fired up, was in rare form. Cactus Jack made his way down the ramp but before he could interfere Hogan hit the big boot and the leg drop to score the pin over Sgt Slaughter. He may not have interfered, but that didn’t stop Hogan from chasing after Cactus Jack after the match was over.

9. Ted Dibiase – pin over Jake the Snake. Ted Dibiase was looking for retribution over interference of Jake the Snake which caused Money Inc to lose in the #1 contender tournament last week. The two battled back and forth. Macho Man made his way down to ringside and took every opportunity to take jabs at Jake the Snake. Jake couldn’t fend off the disadvantage and Dibiase picked up the win. Dibiase later announced that the Macho Man was now a member of Money Inc and told Jake he better find some friends.
