At page 12 of rule book of the second season, it say "An abomination spawns alone (possibly having eaten its Walker fellows)."

If the Abomination move to the zone is occupied by few walkers or the other zombies, can I clear the zone and just leave the Abomination alone?

I'd say no.

I don't believe that was their intent.

Notice it says SPAWNS alone, not moves along and eats everything.

I imagine the bit about eating the walkers is just flavor text.

And I think the reason for stating it how the Abom spawns alone is because it uses the same symbol as a fatty, albeit with a plus sign.
And a fatty spawns with two walkers.

So they had to clarify that a Abom does NOT come with two walkers like the fatty, and perhaps ate them (hehe, zombie joke)

Make sense?

No zombies eat other zombies.

The writers are just attempting to be give a funny explaination why the abomination does not come with walkers - as the fatty does when it is spawned.

It's a nice idea though. Imagine if there was a chance the Abomination would rage out and kill random zombies in his zone each turn.

LOL!

I love how this turns Abom's from (not) scary to positively helpful!

Unless you give him an extra activation for every walker he eats... surprise

I was thinking an extra life per eaten walker.

I love that idea. I think i'am going to create a custom scenario for that.

He could have infinite lives and still be pretty rubbish as he's easy to kite!

True.
That's why the extra activation bit might be interesting.

One house rule I always used is the busting down of doors.
Makes em a bit more dangerous.

Yah, extra activation sounds much scarier. Say... every time he ends his move in a square with walkers, on a roll of X he eats one and takes another activation instantly, and if that move makes him end in a zone with walkers, roll again. That gives him the possibility of chain chomping his way across the board in a single turn if you're not managing walkers well enough laugh That could make him much more scary.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Have "X" be tied to the number of walkers in the square- if there's only one walker, he needs a 6 to eat-and-continue. If there are 6, then the eating is automatic (you'll need to roll a 1 or better). That has the added bonus of making the threat grow with the number of walkers, so an early-game abomination is unlikely to go turbo-mode, but a late-game abom will pretty much just rocket across the board straight to you.

Actually, this thread inspired me to post a new thread in the Variants section: http://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1165736/hungry-abominations
