A fine actor has left the stage. In addition to playing my favourite character in my favourite movie, Bob Hoskins appeared on stage and film as Iago, Mussolini, Lavrenti Beria, Nikita Khrushchev, Winston Churchill, J. Edgar Hoover, and Manuel Noriega. He will be missed. VIDEO

For obvious reasons I`m kind of sad too.
I also particularly liked his take on Professor Challenger in "The Lost World".
I also see a certain similarity running through here.

Great actor. His only screenplay, which he also directed and starred in, was The Raggedy Rawney. Very quirky anti-war movie. Quite disturbing in parts.
It's just a ride...

The Long Good Friday is my favourite film of his.

Hey, get your stinking cursor off my face! I got nukes, you know.
I liked Hoskins; RIP indeed. However,
Noriega: God's Favorite was a truly awful movie. I only watched it because a friend of mine (Richard Cunanan) was in it playing a CIA agent.
Good 'thang' that hath JUST recently obtained a copy of that same movie on VHS tape along with viewing this, and garnering dozens of others from our local 'moi' operation. Today is "Habitat for Humanity" "FREE Comic Day" around here on 3 May, 2014 with tomorrow being: "May the 4th "B" with Y-O-U-! Day"

"Capitaine Conan," by Roger Vercel (1934).
Sad indeed, a great actor. My first exposure was watching the show "Flickers" on PBS.
