I like Rampage rather a lot and while I understand people saying 'just enjoy it for what it is' it's a game which lends itself well to variants.

As has been discussed elsewhere, the Character cards are a bit wonky, so what about taking a tip from Kingdom Builder and having three random scoring cards applicable to all players each game?

Return the following Character Cards to the box, they will not be used:
Seer, Scrap Merchant, Brawler, Imitator.

Shuffle the remaining Character Cards and deal three, face-up. These will be the additional scoring criteria for the game. The cards score as follows:

Seductive, Mean, Young, Tourist, Glutton, Shy, Destructive and Pacifist award 10 points to the player who collects the most of the game element listed on the card (specific coloured meeples, or floors) and 5 points for the player with the second most. In the event of a tie, the points are totalled and devided evenly between all qualifying players, with any excess points ignored.

Anarchist, Punk and Romantic award players 3 points per completed pair of meeples as indicated on the card.

Softie awards each player 3 points for each remaining unbroken tooth (not including their two permanent teeth).

Completed sets of six different coloured meeples score 10 points as normal.

Give it a go and see what you think! Hopefully with more ways to score and equal opportunity to do so, the game will be a bit more flexible and fair.
