I am the owner of a PnP version of Ninja Dice. I have not tried the game yet, but it seems that the location cards would add quite a bit to the game experience.

Can anyone who owns this expansion comment, maybe with an example or two and some more details on the rules?

That would be much appreciated.

Hi! Ninja Dice designer here.

The Location Cards provide additional challenges as ways to extend the game, or provide harder challenges, or add elements of story.

Each Location card has a name, a bit of story/flavortext and picture, a bonus for beating the location, and additional rules/symbols. The additional symbols function like House Dice and are treated the same way to beat them. Sometimes rules are added to change the game play. The Location cards also list how many house dice are rolled when you use that card. Each Location card also has the Round that can be used on on the back (Round 1, 2 or 3).

The rules suggest you should deal out some Locations each round and let people pick one to play against, but there are plenty of other ways to use them too. You can leave them up for grabs as an option, or maybe randomly draw them. I've posted a few variants.

An example card for round one might have a symbol for 4 house dice, and a symbol of a double lock, and a bonus of 2. In this case you'd need to beat whatever you rolled on the 4 house dice, plus beat an additional two locks, and if you beat everything (including the extra two locks) instead of the 1 point bonus you'd get a 2 point bonus.

Or, perhaps it lists 4 house dice, a 2 point bonus, and no symbols but the rules text "you only can use 4 skill dice, not five". In this case you'd play with one less Skill Die, an if you beat the house, you'd get a bonus of two.

You can see some examples at http://www.greenbriergames.com/main/index.php/product/ninja-...
