Why does a lone wolf only get to look at one card? On a number of occasions, a lone wolf in our games has looked at a centre tile, only to see a werewolf - which is mostly already information they already know, given that they are a lone wolf! Takes away one safe bluffing option.

The only possible extra information they would get in that case is that they know WHICH centre tile has the werewolf. Maybe useful if a drunk claims to have swapped with it, or a seer claims to have seen certain cards.

Obviously you don't want the werewolf to have as much information potentially as a seer, so might a workable variant be something like... if you are a lone wolf, you can look at one centre card. If that card is a werewolf, you may look at one additional centre card.

I don't think it's a huge, broken deal, but it is sometimes frustrating as the lone wolf when you pick up the other werewolf

Maybe it hasn't happened enough to us yet, as when it does, everyone (including the werewolf) just has a good laugh about it at the end of the game.

If you think it's frustrating to see the other wolf, you could house rule it so the lone wolf can look again if he finds a wolf the first time.
