Me and 5 of my mates like to get together and play boardgames. Generally, it's a night in with lots of laughter and alcohol. I'm a boardgamer, so I like all sorts of things, but my mates aren't that much in to the hobby, so what works are simple, fun, highly thematic games. We played Jamaica the other night, and it was a smash, they all loved it. Another game that works well is King of Tokyo. We don't want to play the same games all the time though, so I'm after a list of recommendations for 6 player, simple, cartoonish Ameritrash-type games that are full of laughs and fun.

Cheers,

Matt.

Drunk in the subject made me think of One Night Ultimate Werewolf, but I'm not sure how well does it work when everyone's a drunk, not just the Drunk.

Was going to say Cosmic Encounter, as I have one friend who doesn't like it because he won while drunk, but Scottgun is right with Ca$h n' Gun$.

Maybe also BANG!. Normally I'm not a huge fan, but alcohol might improve it.

If your friends aren't violent drunks, you can fix that with Intrigue. EDIT: Oh, Intrigue is only up to 5. What can I say; I'm drunk right now too.

It's not thematic, but I've gotten 10+ drunk people to have an absolute blast playing Liar's Dice.

"laughs and fun" did bring CE to my mind too.

Gauntlet of Fools? Says it is best with six, and I can attest that the game would be much more fun drunk than sober.

Get Red Dragon Inn. You'll need either two games (they only play 4 each) or one set and a couple single character expansions but it would probably pretty easy to enjoy the game since you're pretty much doing what's in the theme of the game. Enjoy.

Red Dragon Inn - you'll need 2 of the 4 boxes to get to 6 players (they all work together). Good fun playing adventurers getting drunk at a tavern while actually getting drunk. GOG WANT BEER!

I also opened this thread to recommend The Red Dragon Inn. I don't drink, myself, but I've been to a number of boardgaming parties where this game is the main drinking game. It centers around raising other peoples Alcohol Content and lowering their Fortitude. When they meet, you're out. They played by taking a shot every so many points of Alcohol Content they got, and when they were drinking they made sure no one went out on Fortitude or money.

I think you want things light on rules, heavy on interaction and fun.

Cosmic Encounter is pure negotiation. To get to six players you'll need an expansion.
Skull is an amazing, yet simple bluffing game using coasters. It's basically Liar's Dice without the dice. Both are excellent.
Ca$h 'n Gun$ has already been mentioned, but is a great fun time. A new version is slated to come out this summer, IIRC.
BANG! The Dice Game is the distilled version of Bang!. The former plays quickly, with hidden roles, dice rolling, and lots of laughs.
PitchCar test your dexterity and your sobriety flicking cars around a track. It's a good one to get everyone up and moving around.

Good luck.

I'll second my experiences with shadow hunters and red dragon inn.

I'll add Dungeon Fighter or other dexterity games into the mix.

Guillotine was one of our favorites.

We played Dino Hunt this last weekend, and I thought it might play well as a drinking game: your dino escapes, you drink. Unfortunately, it's designed for 4 players. I think it could support more, but you'd need to make some components for the additional players.
