Actually, that would be a cool site feature....show a publisher's games by its BGG user ranking.

Ah, scratch that. Just realized that if you do an advanced search and select range 1 to 10 as the values, it will do exactly what I was looking for.

Or you can give this link a shot:

Looks like Lightspeed is your winner.

You can now go to the publisher's BGG page (http://www.boardgamegeek.com/publisher/12) and sort their games by Rank. Here's what you get from Cheapass (unformated):

Light Speed 2003 6.60 358 [Shop]
Diceland - Deep White Sea 2002 6.37 539 [Shop]
Very Clever Pipe Game, the 1996 6.29 635 [Shop]
Agora 2002 6.26 683 [Shop]
Brawl 1999 6.22 728 [Shop]
Big Idea, the 2000 6.21 752 [Shop]
Witch Trial 2001 6.16 824 [Shop]
Button Men 1999 6.09 929 [Shop]
Nexus 2001 6.04 1018 [Shop]
Kill Doctor Lucky 1996 6.01 1084 [Shop]

I'd never heard of light speed before but it looks like a good game.

It's funny, because Unexploded Cow is probably my favorite Cheapass Game, and it doesn't even rank.

As repetitive and eh as it can be, I've always really liked Deadwood.

I hope that someday James Earnest will reprint Starbase: Jeff, because that was always my favourite Cheapass game. I also liked Get Out, Lightspeed, and (mainly for the theme) Give Me The Brain.

I have high hopes for Captain Treasure Boots, but haven't manage to play it yet.

I bought the online version of Ben Hurt, the nasty chariot racing game, and printed it out, but haven't played yet. It looks really good, however.

That's the odd thing about Chea Pass games--even the lowly ones have their die hard fans.

I'd have to pick Spree or Unexploded Cow, and we definitely have our share of CAGs. I, too, want to try Captain Treasure Boots, but haven't gotten my hands on a copy yet. arrrh

Not neccessarily, because you can either get 6 or 7 light-hearted, fun games, or you can get 1 nice-looking game that comes with all its pieces. Personally, I would rather have more games.

No, I researched them first just like any other game purchase.

That list is missing One False Step for Mankind - which has a 6.62 ranking. It's the only Cheapass game I've played, and it was enjoyable enough.

Played several Cheapass games. Only own two. Witch Trial I'd played before and knew I enjoyed it (and acquired it via a most unusual trade). The Very Clever Pipe Game I saw in a FLGS for four bucks and bought it based on copy here on BGG. That one didn't impress me, but hey, I probably spent at least that much on a cup of coffee somewhere that same day.

It all depends on what you're looking for.

One False Step is by the far best "gamer's game" in the Cheapass catalog, with a fairly euro feel to it and a playing time approaching 3 hours.

Lightspeed is unique, fast, and surprisingly popular.

Diceland is bay far the most unique game I've ever played: throwing giant cardboard 8-sided dice in a combination dexterity/tabletop game. Deep White Sea is the best set for beginners (and my favorite, period.)

Nexus is a brilliant card-laying abstract strategy game that works great with 2 or 3 (or even 4.) Agora is in the same "Hip Pocket" series, and is fairly well-respected around here. I also enjoy Cube Farm and Safari Jack Remix is a good fun 2-player game.

My favorite, of course, is Give Me The Brain! which I recommend for 2-4.

I also enjoy U.S. Patent Number 1 and Escape From Elba if you can get your hands on them.

I've played many cheapass games and the only one that I really like, and would rate high is Witch Trial. Mainly as a game to play with my kids.. Most of their games are not very serious but Witch Trial has a bit of humor and very good mechanics.
