My gameing group is having the hardest time in the world to win with the shadow player. IT seems that the free peoples player are playing the games wasting lots of dice and still being able to easily take a win. Does anyone have any possible strategies to help out the shadow player?? WE were also possbily thinking of having only 1 smeagol tile in the hunt pool to lessen the effects of those two tiles have on corrupution and revealing of the fellowship.

How do the Shadow player play?

Does he use Nazgûl Search and/or Cruel Weather as turn stalls just as the Fellowship is about to enter Mordor if possible?

What Witch-king is used?

Does he play a Galadriel denial strategy or does he come all guns blazing with both The Black Captain and Saruman at the helm?

Most importantly, does he make sure he has armies big enough to win each siege he commits to?

If Galadriel's power to cancel Eye tiles seem powerful try to throw all you have against Lorien before the Fellowship reaches Mordor. With (preferably) all four Shadow Hunt tile in the Hunt pool Mordor can be very dangerous without Galadriel's Eye-remover.

Yeah always am trying to use the cards that effect the fellowship, umm been prolly about 50/50 on the two witch kings. Yes, galandrial denial strategy is used as well, I think the problem may be that we usually don't recruit any units for sauron, we usually try to use just the units he starts with and possibly cards like olog-hai to boost up armies. Or, possibly we are spending too much time on gondor, it seems that every shadow player tries to take all 5 points from there, and now without the corsailles taking up more than one die, its harder than ever. Thanks for the help though

Try conquering northern locations first, then taking pelargir, dol amroth and helm's deep right at the end. You really want to avoid attacking into strength.

In the expansion, it's harder to win by corruption unless the FSP separates several companions, but it's still about as easy to win militarily if you attack where the FP is weak.
