Hi All,
So after all the time that Mage Knight has been out is it the successor to Avalon Hills Magic Realms? I have always wanted to try and get a copy of Magic Realms(hate the high prices), but would I be better served to buy Mage Knight?

Thanks for the help 

In my opinion no. Magic Realms is a very different game.

Theme (and only loosely at that) is similar between the games.

I thinks it's a spiritual successor to Magic Realm.

My mother used to say "you can't have the same picnic twice". MR is a product of it's era. MK has been built on ground that MR broke long time ago.

I hope MR gets reprinted, I'd love to have a copy.

It's so ridiculously complicated, though... Maybe a P500 on GMT games might attracht people's attention? Or a kickstarter. But comparing it to Mage Knight... I don't know...

Magic Realm you Barbarians. There is no 'S'

Also: No. They don't feel the least bit similar to me.
