Hi,

Can anyone tell me what is mikado's original name and when and where it was invented? I've been trying to find some good background for this game but it's really shady. It seems like it's a japanese game given its name, but I keep reading it was originated from europe in 19th century. It really doesn't look like it.

Anyway, I thought that by finding out its real name I could track down its date.

Thanks in advance!

Best,

AC

I just read Wikipedia and there is zero source for the Mikado (game) article. My guess on this matter is that the game came from Europe but it must be invented by some European who went to Asia and got inspiration out of the trip.

Yeah, i find it weird since it's a fairly decent dexterity game and it had some hype not that long ago..

Thanks!
