I play RAF for the first time (with full rules) and I enjoy it much. I has a strong "historical" narrative which I like, too. Watching one of these fantastic videos I saw a new step 19.8 rule (Overwhelming Advantage). Where do I find it?

One question just for interest: Assume there is one squadron in the BB with 4 bombers and one Bf110 is in the CEB. It is clear that the squadron intercepts one bomber (and will have air combat) and the remaining bombers *plus the Bf110* are unmolested by the interception/air combat. What is the rationale that the escorts do NOT take part of the air combat but "fly" with the unmolested bombers? Seems to me irrational.

19.8 Overwhelming Numerical Advantage
During Raid Phase Step 8, Hunter Interception:
If there are five or more squadrons in the hunt box AND squadrons outnumber fighter gruppen by 2:1 or more, you MUST move excess squadrons to the bomber box until there are less than five squadrons in the Hunt Box or the ratio of squadrons to fighter Gruppen is less than 2:1. Then follow the instructions in 9.1 for Fewer Gruppen than Squadrons.

The rule is intended to make the game more challenging by denying the player the chance to flood the Hunt Box with fighters.

As regards your point about the interception phase, I like to think that I am picking off the enemy bombers that are at the back of the formation which the enemy fighters ignore (or just don't see) because they want to fly on towards the target with the bulk of the bombers.

Steve, thank you for your quick reply. Are there any other modfications for the 2nd edition (only for Lion, I found on CSW the new rules for Eagle)? Where was new 19.8 published?

Make sense to me. As an RAF beginner I'm not sure if it better to attack with CE (add its combat value) or without (more gruppen, worse column).

It was published on official decision games web page as a pdf rulebook called RAF Lion 2.0-v3, but can't find it anymore. Rulebook include all new changes.

Has anyone been able to locate a copy of the updated rules? I sent DG an email a few days ago, but they have not responded.

What about situation where there are no bombers in bomber box? Do I have to apply this rule? It makes sense and prevents players from taking advantage of small rules flaw when I leave fighters to engage bombers, but when I still have to move fighters out of the fight pointlesly, it seems a bit off.
