I was just wondering what tournament "house" rules you have seen?

Does everyone stick to the official FFG rules or are there tweaks? Are there even wholly different scoring systems being used out there?

Cheers

We don't play 'tournaments', but there are a few house rules, very minor.

-Our map size is always larger than 3' x 3' - more room in general; I have a cloth that is 48" x 60", and generally it is completely spread out on a table[s].

-When a furball [cluster of dogfighting ships] occurs, we generally mark a ship's location with a '1' maneuver template, conduct necessary maneuvers, then replace. Prevents unnecessary bumping/damage, keeps orientation better.

-Once we come up with a cohesive one, we will implement 'campaign' rules, both for strategic advancement of one side or other, and pilot development.

I heard of a cool one where you bring two squads ( each faction) and there are no mirror matches

We started doing this early on, a very easy mod to stop arguments when placing templates over bases.
