Crosshairs. I will glue the stacks to prevent shifting very soon. Players only need three 6 stacks a piece, as that does not regularly occur more often than that and 6 stacks may be shared.

Blue Panther hexes x 210 in birch

Airplane pushpins from Amazon

Exago board spray painted with black paint + primer for plastics. Exago purchased from Amazon.

Super glue to the top and bottom of push pins

1. Stain hexes, making sure to hit the edges as much as possible

2. Spray paint Exago board black and then seal with non shiny clear sealer

3. Wash out Exago board with water to remove dust, after it is dry

4. Glue 3 stack and stain these for the bases for the pushpin planes

5. Drill with 1/32 drill bit and a dremel. Push in pushpins and glue top of shaft and the bottom with super glue

6. To prevent shifting and hexes falling over during play, preglue possible stacks for the players to use. 10 two stacks, 10 three stacks... on to 5 stacks but then for 6 stacks to save on materials just give them three 6 stacks a piece.

7. Use cotton balls for clouds.

It turned out fine. I am looking forward to playing it. I need to still preglue the stacks, but that step is easy and pretty fun.

The game is also available from Nestor and that version has nice colors.

The Ameri-style version.

Memoir 44 tiles hot glued to a stained base

blue and white discs from Boards and Bits

Memoir 44 tiles painted blue and light blue

Hot glued Micro Machines to those painted tiles

Covered the hot glue bases with cotton because they did not turn out perfectly, and I like the look of them post cotton more than pre cotton. It just bugs me less somehow.

This set is really too large. You have to stand up to see everything better.

Because I had left over wood. Maybe I'll try to play Caveman Curling on this. I have to get a few shooter discs. Maybe some chair leg protectors of the right size.
