YES! The AH version has a revised map with more territories (especially on the Eastern Front) and some impassable territories, now making some movement more historically accurate. New units have been added (artillery and destroyers) making for a more interesting unit mix. The technology research rules have been changed giving the players more control over which technologies they want to develop. Optional national advantage rules (e.g. Russian Winter, Wolfpack, Marines) have been added to give the game more spice. In short, the revised version breathes new life into this game and forces long time players to scrap old scripted strategies and put on their thinking caps again.

Absolutely! The changes made to the map have really made this an excellent improvement over the original. More PP especially for the axis countries. Eastern front is vastly improved and the sea zones around GB and Japan are also greatly improved.
