The international edition of Hollywood is now launched on Kickstarter.
There are a lot of stretch goals and add-ons planned for Hollywood.

Rules of the game were streamlined too.

Grab the Early Birds while they last!

14 left as of 5:40pm E.S.T.

I think Early Bird incentives are a mistake, creating resentment and possibly turning off later buyers. I wonder how many sales that they create versus how many they lose.

Well, I guess business people know their business better than I do...

I played this game at Essen 2013 and was waiting for this Kickstarter. However I have to say that I cannot back this for several reasons.

1. Generic artwork. The original russian version had caricature artwork that makes the game much more enjoyable. In most countries there are copyright exceptions for caricatures and parodies. The shoudl get better lawyers and make use of this.
2. Price. 40$ is a lot for this game. I have seen and played the Essen 2013 version. It is way too expensive, 30$ would have been a reasonable price. Especially if you consider that the artwork hasn't got a lot of variety without the caricatures.
3. Shipping. 15$ shipping costs to europe but 0$ to US is outraging. I understand that the majority of backers will be from the US, but this is unacceptable. Theyspecify that this game is produced in europe. Calling it EU-friendly and requesting 37,5% of the game as shipping cost to europe is really insulting.

I agree with kev about the shipping. There are so many campaigns with free UK and GER shipping and those are board gaming countries. So it is sad to see eu has to pay the same amount as someone in Australia although games are shipped from within eu. Really strange and sad.
they should consider a change here.

Same. $15 to Canada, while the US is free doesn't make sense.

Why can't these companies do what Stonemaier Games does?

I feel exactly the same as Kev, except that I didn't play it in Essen last year. If they have it in Essen at a better price I might have a go at it.
