Wow what a heavy rulebook ...
I just finished reading it and… I think I might understand it? I think the book will be good or reference since theres a lot of redundancy (in a good way).
I wish it had something like a quick start guide. You know- something that covers the "high level rules" and leaves out all the caveats that are covered in the 48 page book. There's a lot of times in the rules when it says, "this happens except if this *jargon* is present then…"
This seems like a game that will benefit from a very clear gameplay video.
I really like the idea of each player having the same 90 cards and paring that down to 24. I think the Viking army is pretty interesting and I like the fact that there are several ways to mess with an opponent.
I HOPE that the lack of text on the cards is not an insurmountable hurdle for teaching new players.
