I have been playtesting a new helicopter ending for my 2nd Slice Variant and have created a change that will work well even with the normal game.

In the normal rules you win if you are on the center of the helicopter with no zombie there. Its anti-climactic.

Here are two rules changes that make it very different!

1) You get the helicopter victory only if you are on the center of the helipad tile, and there is no zombie in the same square, and it is the very start of your turn.
2) If a human climbs into the center square and there is another human already there then, after dealing with any zombies also there, the players fight it out.

The fight

Both players roll a dice. They each add automatic weapon effects like the fire axe. If there is a draw then both reroll.

The loser may now add voluntary weapons such as bullets and the chainsaw. [edit] Player already in the helicopter gains +1. [/edit] The new loser, if there is one, can then respond. This repeats until there is an unchallenged winner.

The winner tosses the loser out to any other square on the helipad and the loser loses one life token.

Ok, a six player game recently revealed flaws in the dramatic pace and and player opportunities for fun. The helipad phase dragged out for an hour!

Here are the fixes:

1) When a human enters the helipad and fights another human then, win or lose, their turn ends, they don't even move any zombies.

2) Losing a human vs human helicopter cockpit fight results in losing 2 life tokens.

3) A player killed in a helicopter fight goes through becoming a zombie as per normal.

4) The winner must move the loser exactly 5 spaces away along a valid move path. Ignore the presence of zombies for this move. There can be no shorter path to the square from the starting space.

5) Any time in the game a zombie player is killed by a human player the human must move the zombie player exactly 5 spaces away along a valid move path. There can be no shorter path to the square from the starting space.

6) The first aid kit may be played to your inventory when you are on the helipad.
