Hello everyone. I am visiting family in Maryland in two weeks. I used to live there up until 2000, but was not into board games way back then. I am looking for suggestions for stores to visit in the PG County/Calvert County area, as well as DC and Baltimore.

Also, if there are any cool events going on in the area, let me know. Would love to check out anything I can. I will be visiting from June 7th to June 15th.

Thanks in advance!

Joe

You forgot to mention Dream Wizards in Rockville.

I don't really know any stores in PG county, tho.

Seconding the GCOM calendar.

My preferred store is Games and Stuff in Glen Burnie (Anne Arundel Co). Massive play area with tons of demo games to pull off the shelf and play. I've spent days there just playing their copies of things and they're not only permissive, sometimes they want to jump in and play with you just for the fun of it if nothing in particular's happening. (They also get a more-than-fair share of my game buying money, so I'm not advocating just mooching.)

There are also many active gaming Meetup groups who're likely having some event or another while you're here. I've found any ones I've attended to be friendly and welcoming.
