Ukrainian people in Poltavaska Oblast are afraid of the pro-Russian activists in the neighboring areas. They’re gathering weapons and form patrols. One unit of Ukrainian irregular appears there.

Russia Today shows lot of material that spread Putin’s propaganda all over the world. Ukraine’s media try to negate them, but their range is much smaller. Russia’s prestige rises to 29. Ukraine lowers it to 27, but also loses some prestige and ends with 17.

Russian diplomats in Poland try to convince polish politicians that it isn’t wise to support Ukraine. But Poland show strong support for Ukrainian freedom movement and with the help of Ukrainian diplomacy, stays as their ally.

Ukraine is aware of possible danger and quickly makes its army ready. Recruits are called to their units. 1 and 17 armored brigades, 24, 28, 30, 51, 93 and 128 mechanized brigades and 25 parachute brigade are mobilized.
Russia is gathering its forces much slowly, mobilizing 6 Armored Brigade and 3 Armored Regiment.

Final segment:
Ukraine gains 4 prestige points from USA and Poland.

Far right nationalists demonstrate in Kiev, Russian propaganda spreads movies with them all over the world, claiming that Ukraine’s government supports fascists. Ukraine loses 4 prestige

Medias from both country are trying to convince the world. Russians, thanks to their money, are slightly better, but they have harder job in convincing people, ‘cos most of the world sees them as troublemakers here.

Russians asks Polish politicians to not support Kiev’s government, but they fail, thanks to the massive, pro-Ukrainian support in Polish media. Ukrainian diplomacy can’t do much more because of its own troubles.

In answer for Ukrainian mobilization, Russia mobilizes its forces much faster than before. 6 Armored Brigade and 3 Armored Regiment are deployed on the south-east borders of Ukraine, while 13 Armored Regiment, 4 Armored Brigade, 45 and 22 Special Forces companies, 810 Infantry Brigade and one unit of irregulars are formed and mobilized.
Ukraine’s army sends 1 Armored Brigade to Vinnytska Oblast, while 17 Armored Brigade is deployed in Polstavska Oblast. Ukrainian tanks are ready for intervention in the pro Russian areas.

Paid Russian internet trolls are spreading pro-Russian propaganda all over the Internet. Russian hackers attack websites of the pro-Ukrainian medias. This also causes some more sympathy to Ukraine in some countries.

Russian diplomats are trying to neutralize USA support to Ukraine, but successful counteraction of Ukraine diplomacy keeps USA supporting case of Ukrainian freedom.

Russians are gathering more forces around Ukrainian borders, mobilizing 423 Mechanized Regiment and deploying 13 Armored Regiment, 4 Armored Brigade, 45 and 22 Special Forces companies and 810 Infantry Brigade on the east borders of Ukraine. Russians are visibly ready to attack.
After the warlike speech of Putin, Ukrainian army decides to make first move. Ukrainian forces enter pro-Russian areas and starts the intervention. 1st Armored Brigade rides into Odessa, securing important seaport and airport. 17 Armored Brigade rides into Dniepropietrovksa Oblast, controlling one of the biggest and central area of pro-Russian part of Ukraine. In the meantime, 128 Mechanized Brigade is deployed in Vinnistka Oblast, 24 and 30 Mechanized Brigades are deployed in Cherkasa Oblast, 28 and 93 Mechanized Brigades are deployed in Poltavska Oblast, 51 Mechanized Brigade and 25 Parachute Brigade are deployed in Kievska Oblast.

More energetic actions of Ukrainian government gains the support of the Great Britain to the Kiev. UK joins to the supporters of Ukraine and Russia can’t do much to prevent it.

Military:
Ukraine: 3 + 4 from “Rally to the Motherland” card.
Russia: 3

Russian forces crosses the borders of Ukraine, starting the war. 6 Armored Brigade invades Donestka Oblast, 13 Armored Regiment rides into Kharkivska Oblast and 4 Armored Brigade drives into Sumska Oblast.
Ukrainian answer is fast and painful – 28 and 93 Mechanized Brigades rides into Kharkivska Oblast and destroys Russian armored brigade in quick, surprising attack. Ukrainian 28 Mechanized Brigade also suffers some loses, but Kharkivska Oblast is in Ukrainian hands.

Ukrainian forces prepares to defend north parts of the country, while they continue offensive on the south, taking Mikolayvska and Khirovoradska Oblast. 92 Mechanized Brigade is in mobilization.

Final segment:
Ukraine gains 6 prestige points from Great Britain, USA and Poland.

Far right winged nationalist groups demonstrated in Kiev and leftist pacifists demonstrates in various countries of UE. Poland and Great Britain has to lower their support to Ukraine, but USA strengthens its support instead.

Moldovan army moves against Russian detachment in Transnistria.

Russia TV shows (sometimes faked) pictures of cities in East Ukraine bombarded by Ukrainian army. Ukrainians contradicts, but some people in the world actually trusts Russians.

Offensive of Russian diplomacy gives some results – USA also lowers their support to the Ukrainian case.

Russian 810 Infantry Brigade enters Kharkivska Oblast and takes it back, beating down Ukrainian 93 Mechanized Brigade. 6 Armored Brigade attacks Donetska Oblast, but Ukrainians are defending well and after their counterattack, with support of 30 Mechanized Brigade, Russians are beaten. In the same time Ukrainian 1 Armored Brigade rides into Khersonska Oblast.

Both sides are doing their best to keep Poland neutral (Russia) or supporter of Ukrainian case (Ukraine). Poland, after big demonstrations of pacifists, stays neutral, although people generally have lot of sympathy for Ukraine.

Military:
Ukraine: 2
Russia: 7
Ukrainian tanks reach Crimea, but meet Russian forces there and after long combat Crimea stays in Russian hands. From the other hand, battle for Dniepropetrovska Oblast is won by Ukrainians. Russian 4 Armored Brigade reaches Chernihivska Oblast and is dangerously close to the Kiev.

After a few plays I'm beginning to think its hard for the Russian player to win.

Have a same feeling, actually. I think this game could be bit more longer, so Russians would have time to mobilized their forces and attack with the full impact.
