Does this indicate that the rules in the box are not up to scratch?

Depends on whom you ask. It seems that no published games are ever perfect and some are more continuously upgraded and updated than others to incorporate errata, clarifications and possibly changes to the game as they are brought up by the extra proofreaders (gamers). Note that it is unlikely that any game ever could be published without errata as there just is not the time or profit margins in the hobby to provide the necessary play testing and proofreading required for that, despite the best intentions and desires of publishers, designers and proofreaders.

I am glad that updated (so called :icing Rules) exist.

True. Was thinking of picking this up when it hits retail, and wondered how far I can trust the rulebook.

Whether I could trust the rulebook in the actual box.

That I cannot help you with. I started with the 1.0 on the website for the first three pages and then went straight to 1.1 when it got published. I have not even finished that (trying to keep my brain "fresh" while editing rules for a completely different game.

People have learned how to play the game without requiring help from outside sources, so it probably contains most of the rules in an understandable manner.

Hi everybody !

First, thank You Mezike !

I will add that we want to update rules with the community. You find in this version little pig symbols where we change rules, after community remarks !

In the next version (1.1c), we don't change any rules, but some wording. Old wargamers in our forums say us that some wording could be better and less ambigous. So, instead be obtuse, we prefer to change rules.

In a few months, we propose on our shop to buy the last and good version of our rules (i hope it will be the 1.1v version). The others can still download and print it by their own !

We don't want static rules, but living rules. So, the sacrifice is your rules booklet need to be updated in order to have the best gaming experience.
