I spend a lot of time playing with myself. Even though it's designed to be played with someone else, I'm just as likely to play with myself.
Any suggestions for ones that are designed with the idea of playing with yourself in mind? devil

If you like killing zombies (and who doesn't), I'd suggest Dawn of the Zeds (Second edition)
Or, if you like submarines, killing squid, and discovering, try Nemo's War

Golden... As in Oldie! I'm new to the Portland area and looking for gamers to game with and new gaming groups to join! I'm 50+ and like most games but do have a special affinity for dry, cube pushing euros!

+1 for Dawn of the Zeds. If you're a glutton for punishment, this is one of the best solo games out there.

I also really enjoy playing Castle Panic solo.

Space Hulk: Death Angel – The Card Game is another one that works well solo, even though it can be played with others.

I recommend seeking out more opportunities to play with it as it's designed. It's more fun.

Im enjoying:
Thunderbolt Apache Leader
and
Field Commander: Napoleon

Both are designed as strict solitaire games.
If you dont mind a challenge I can also recomend The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game

Space Empires: 4X comes with solitaire scenarios, though I have not tried them myself yet.

I've seen so many recommendations of Navajo Wars that I decided to get it myself. I still haven't played it so I cannot but pass on others' recommendations on this one

I really want to try Navajo Wars, but also from GMT you could look at Labyrinth: The War on Terror

If you like older games, then Voyage of the B.S.M. Pandora or Citadel of Blood are excellent ones.
But best solo games are Space Hulk: Death Angel – The Card Game, Arkham Horror and The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game

The end. Of your sanity.

It's a decent game for sure, but Mage Knight has a million rules and is very fiddly. Just so you're warned

Mage knight may have a lot of rules but all of them are very thematically integrated and easy to remember once learned. The game is not fiddly imho and can easily be set up and walked away from after a turn and picked back up the next day right where you left off.

I second Friday.

A cool variation on a deckbuilder that has plenty of variety and opportunity for strategy. I like the theme too.

I'm surprised nobody has blurted it out by now, so I can't resist:
If games from the BGG database are really what gets you going, I'd suggest trying out Busen Memo...
