Imdaar tomorrow. Playing around with squads and thought I'd see if I could somehow get some use out of the HWK.

Was thinking:

Kyle w/ Moldy Crow, Ion Turret and Stealth Device (or Hull upgrade)

Wedge w/ R2 Astromech, PTL and Shield Upgrade

Biggs w/ R2F2 and Stealth Device


Idea being that Biggs uses his action to get the extra evade dice from R2F2 taking him to 5 and Kyle gives him a focus to boost his evade chances keeping fire on him while Kyle and Wedge hit the bad guys.

Originally had the blaster turret on HWK but if Kyle is handing focus off to Biggs then it won't fire very often.

It's not... amazeballs but curious about thoughts?

Nice list, worth a try. Though I wouldn't put Stealth device on the Moldy Crow. Maybe your suggestion of the Hull upgrade, or a Recon Specialist (one focus to pass, one focus for yourself). Good luck!

I've actually revised it slightly:

Kyle w/ Moldy Crow, Recon Specialist, Stealth Device, Blaster Turret and vet instincts(35)
Biggs w/ Stealth Device and R2F2 (31)
Wedge w/ PTL and R2 astromech (33)

Wedge loses a bit of protection but if I keep him close to Biggs he'll be ok I think.

Vet instincts doesn't change the move/fire order internally but might push Kyle up the firing order slightly against opponents (plus, had no idea what else to use the last 2 points on)

Defo switch the Stealth Device for a Recon Specialist on the Crow.

I you'll probably want to keep Biggs within range of the HWK or it's going to die pretty fast.

The problem is that's going to make Wedge a really big target.

What about dropping the R2 + PTL (With his ability, Wedge is very offensive anyway) and replacing them with R2-D2?

Or alternatively, replacing Wedge with Luke, R2-D2 and Shield Upgrade - still leaving you a point for Initiative, Veteran Instincts, Adrenaline Rush or maybe even Draw Their Fire for use in a pinch?

The plan is definitely to keep them close together.

Your Luke plan ain't bad either but if I deck out the crow fully with both recon and stealth device I have no points left for shield upgrade.

I was suggesting replacing the Stealth Device on the crow with Recon Specialist.

Then I'd suggest to also drop stealth device and VI for an Engine upgrade. Your Moldy Crow will be most maneuverable and might even boost out of firing arcs and you'll be able to turn much quicker (back into the battle). Focus you'll build up in the beginning, will stay due to the Moldy Crow title, so when the confrontation comes, you won't need much focus tokens anyway.

Another vote for Recon Specialist, although Hull Upgrade is an interesting choice as it makes Kyle immune to Flechette Torpedoes, which are the new hotness is some localities.



But I'm also the type that might replace Wedge's Shield Upgrade with Engine Upgrade (especially since he has PtL, and since Kyle's ability works at long range and can be used to boost Wedge after Biggs is dead).
