Who's playing the Angel? Our initial experience is that this is the most powerful pre-configured deck. We've played six games with this Hero now and she's lost only once, when the Elf Mage luckily drew all of the lightning spells on the first turn. Who's playing the Angel? Who's beating the Angel?! Let's discuss.

In our play test the pre-build decks were very balanced, but that's the fun: rebuild the decks and try to change them and adapt the decks to your playing style. For instance, I don't like spells, I prefer to deal damage with amulets!

The advantage the Angel has seems to be in the armoring up. Chaining Blood Pact with Relics and other things in the deck and you can get your armor up around 40, making it very difficult for other heroes to deal damage.

We are already playing around with ways to deal with this, like putting in flashbangs to decks for example.

We just finally played our first game and the Elf Mage utterly obliterated the Angelic Paladin.

Once the Elf Mage was able to use it's Magic value for Defense with the Wizard's Hat and was buffed with dual Snake Staffs and the Cape of Twilight the Angel couldn't land a single blow the entire game and was effortlessly dispatched.

Was an incredibly frustrating experience for the Angel player and to add insult to injury it was Summer the entire game so she never got to roll a single die.

Ouch! That sounds frustrating.

We are finding that the order cards come up certainly have a big impact on the game. Whoever buffs up first gets out ahead.

One of the cards our Angel/Paladin loves to play is the Blood Pact. If that card comes up later in the game, it's harder to justify playing it at 25 HP cost. If it comes up at the front-end, +8A and +8M allows the Paladin to rack up depleting damage from both Melee and Magic attacks for a few rounds before the opponent comes up to speed.

The Avatar of Light coming up early also makes a difference. Having that card in place allows you to take the steam out of a critical attack at important times in the game.

Anyway, keep at it! Your Angel will eventually have a run. I can speak from being on the receiving end of major losses at her hand. (We think of her as a her...)
