Another game of Fury of Dracula to start out 2002.

The hunters began their search scattered across Europe - Seward in southern France, Van Helsing in Romania, and Godalming in Germany. The Count began his transgressions in Spain, but quickly departed for the British Isles as Seward closed in on Spain. Seward made quick work of the encounters left in Spain by the Count. Then Seward departed for the British Isles, figuring the Count's bloodlust would take him there. Godalming meanwhile sealed off the northwestern coast of Europe to prevent entry by the Count. Van Helsing stood guard in Eastern Europe to prevent an easy sea escape. Count Dracula, meanwhile, doubled back by sea to southern Spain after a quick stop in Ireland. Seward, closely tracking the Count's sea movement, took advantage of Excellent Weather to sail into port just behind the Count and attack him. Although Seward had no knife or stake to kill the Count with, he valiantly attacked anyways. Combat took place in the daytime, rendering the Count fairly powerless against the attack. Seward bludgeoned the Count ruthlessly with a crucifix. Dracula finally escaped, damaged but not beaten. He began to journey east towards his beloved home, leaving Seward hopelessly mired in fog. The other hunters used the trains to quickly seal off Dracula's escape path. Seward finally made his way east, following Dracula's path of encounters, but then abruptly lost the trail. Fortunately, a well timed Newspaper Reports revealed that Dracula had doubled back once again and was only one city away from Seward in the port city of Marseilles - and it was now Seward's turn. Seward, armed with a crucifix and now a knife and stake, sped to Marseilles in an attempt to finish off the Count once and for all. Dracula, alarmed by the sudden onslaught, used Wild Horses in an attempt to thwart the attack, but a bout of Good Luck ensured that it would not be deflected. However, the Count still had a trick up his sleeve. In a bout of Rage, he snatched the stake from Seward and smashed it into pieces. Seward was now armed only with a knife and crucifix. The sun rose and combat began with Dracula in a weakened state due to the sun's rays. Seward made several attempts for the kill with the knife, but was unable to get close enough. Between attempts with the knife, he used the crucifix to further bludgeon the weakened Count. Dracula was reduced to 0 Blood Points, and then into Blood Death by Seward's fierce crucifix attacks. But Seward was still intent on the kill. Carefully timing his knife attack, he feinted with a Fist, and then just as Dracula turned to Escape, Seward plunged the knife into his heart. Dracula's reign of terror was ended by the team of Hunters, securing them a Supreme Victory.

This game was by far the most fun session I have played as the hunters. Dracula was, true to form, outraged by the loss, but I think he will recover for another bout in the future. :-) The game lasted exactly 2 hours, and was action packed the entire time. I'm ready to go again. This is one fantastic game!
