If this question has been asked before, just point me to the appropriate discussion thread...

If not, then I am curious about what games frequently fetch the highest price from a collector's perspective?

I've seen War of the Ring Collector's Edition go for $500-1000 on eBay, but I'm actually more curious about obscure games or first editions, like Game of Goose or the original printing of Monopoly, respectively, and what demand there is for these games from a colletor's perspective.

I, personally, am a game player and not a collector, but I am nontheless curious about the collecting side of the board game hobby.

Oh, and I'd prefer to keep CCGs out of this dicussion, even though I'm well aware of the demand and collectabiliy of CCG rarities.
