My wife and I played our first game of Clubs last night. After we played a hand, there were 40 cards left in the deck. So we dealt and played two more hands before reshuffling all the cards.

I didn't see anything in the rules about reshuffling, but assume you'd have to reshuffle the deck with 4 or more players. It would probably be easy to card-count after awhile, but that wasn't a problem on our first game. Just curious what the pros/cons are.

Shuffle the whole deck after each hand, regardless of the number of players.

First there was Hearts, then there was Spades, and now we bring you Clubs. The suit of clubs finally gets some respect!

The rules have you shuffle after each round regardless of the number of people. But that's because I did not want to write special rules for each player count. When I play, I do not shuffle in a two player game until after the third round, and after the second round in a 3-player game.

I don't consider card counting to be a problem. It's a big part of the 6 player game. It's also a part of the 2-player game if you play that way, although it doesn't usually affect the first 2 rounds.

They probably didn't have Google back in the "Magic days", either.
