The Atlantic has a remarkable feature of pictures of D-Day locations then and now. Starting at photo 2 you can click on the screen and the "then" picture dissolves into the "now." Moving and, in some of them, almost eerie

Fascinating as I've visited a number of these locations and didn't really appreciate how little they had changed - except the war damage/debris of course!
