This was our second game.
Mordor was a bit slow to march out, so Gandalf had no trouble to lead an army from Minas Tirith to Osgiliath. Similarly, Pellanor fields managed to scrape up enough units to reinforce Cair Andros.
Sauron's legions came marching in, but they got chewed up equally quickly, the Anduin was defending Gondor! Eventually, to break the stalemate, we let Sauron illegally play The Nazgul and His Prey to take out Gandalf. Osgiliath fell quickly thereafter.
Faramir raised an army in the city, and the Black Captain roared into the Pelanor at the helm of a lone army. Imrahil showed up from the south, and began jockeying for position against the Troll & Mumakil-equipped army. Then Theoden showed up with Paths of the Woses and Ghan Buri Ghan - seven recruitment tokens and nine riders, all told!
The Witch King inexplicably attacked Theoden's A-Team. The dice went bad for the Witch King, and he was fully Encircled and cut down.
In after-game comments, it came out that the Sauron player didn't know he could have flown away with his last sword action die. So his reckless endangerment makes a little more sense.
