On Friday, July 21 2006, four experienced Warlords gathered for an evening of skills testing with Shogun, from the GameMaster Series. Don't underestimate the great game Shogun really is! Each Warlord (after feasting on Bison flesh hot off the mesquite infused grill) quickly set up each of their 3 Daimyo controlled armies in consolidated areas: JP to the North East, "Chopper" to the Central South, TJ to the Western Islands, and T2 to the North.

-JP with his well placed Red Armies began an initial incursion against Chopper in the Central East area but was quickly rebuffed by Chopper’s angered Daimyo.
-The two western players each consolidated what weak territories they could in the West, but this created a clear line of demarcation between them (North/South)..
-As JP moved to the South West, and TJ and T2 moved East for territory growth, Chopper became quite surrounded and lost substantial Koku income. In survival mode, Chopper built a Castle to form a base of strength for clear territory control.
-With Chopper under pressure and JP holding steady, T2 made a ruthless strike on TJ's Daimyo controlled army in the central north. He successfully destroyed the first Daimyo and army, but not without some loss. Not to be outdone, the revengeful Irish Warlord coordinated an across the sea attack on T2’s Daimyo. By successfully hiring a Ninja ninjaand assassinating T2’s Daimyo followed by an Army on Army onslaught, T2’s Damiyo Armies were reduced to 2.
-Seeing the two out of control western warlords wack away wildly, JP and Chopper made a secret alliance by an under-the-table courier. Chopper willingly let his westernmost Daimyo vacation in JP's backyard, while JP slowly grew his income and army size. Chopper benefited by cutting into T2’s west flank, as well as keeping TJ at bay in the south. This then set the stage for JP to make a major territory grab in a naval assault on T2’s North Islands. Now T2 was very much surrounded and feeling the pressure.
-JP now turned his Naval-born units' attention south to TJ-controlled eastern islands, and hired the Ninja to begin his attack. Shockingly, the Ninja was unsuccessful in his stealthy approach of death (poison tipped shriken) being outwitted by one of Gleeson’s leprechauns, who in return killed JP’s Damiyo (Shillelagh), crippling JPs army for that round.
-This was of little consequence to the ever-powerful Warlord JP, as TJ’s attempts to take out the disrupted Daimyo fell flat, as the naval disadvantage hurt substantially. JP also succeed in isolating one of Gleeson’s remaining Daimyo’s ultimately killing him..
-T2 did also successfully eliminate one of Chopper’s Damiyo’s and then pushed South into TJ controlled territory which further weakened the now gasping-for-air green warlord.
-With JP’s income now a Koku-producing factory, and well positioned for more territory expansion, it was agreed to end after one more round. TJ expended what little he had left, becoming easy fodder for T2 to kill his last Damiyo and gain several territories, but all to no avail as WARLORD JP WAS THE CLEAR WINNER and must now be called “SHOGUN JP” until we meet again. HAI!!!!
