Any spell card that boosts that specific type of check (Guidance is just 1 to any check but Glibness is Charisma only) can be played by another character. You are right that you couldn't play both spells at once. Furthermore, that other player could play Guidance AND a blessing on your check. It is just one of each type of card per check per player (if those cards can be played on another person's check).

Is the holy candle a check tho. I thought it just says roll a dice. Is a dice roll always consider a check even if it is not using a skill?

Holy Candle is just a roll, not a check. It is only a check if you are told to make a check.

The question from the OP is about Holy Light the offensive spell, not Holy Candle the item.

A check is always using a skill of some type (including the non-standard 6 base skills). It isn't a check if you are asked to roll a specific die, like Cure says 1d4+1 or Holy Candle with a 1d6). Blessings or boosting spells can be played on checks, but there is nothing to boost non-checks.
