Merriam-Webster seems happy with "Gi-le-teen" as their first pronunciation.

I've read elsewhere that "Gee-ya-teen" is an Anglicization which has gained acceptance, but would not be correct in French. (The double-l becoming "y" is a feature of Spanish, but I don't think French.)

Gi-le-teen is the Anglicization. Merriam-Webster is, after all, an English dictionary.

It's not really Gee-ya-teen either, exactly, but that really is much closer to what it is in french, really it's more like Gi-yeau-teen. Look at the French name Guillaume for another handy example.

Now, of course you can pronounce it however you want. Not a big deal, just thought it was funny that the designer would say it like that...I for some reason always assume the designer of any game I play is the exemplar of the game itself, like Peterson was a perfumed fop or a unwashed French peasant, heh.
