Depends what kind of game you're looking for!

For me, it would be King of Tokyo for the quick, fun, light hearted affair, Power Grid for the Euro economic game, and The Resistance as the social deduction jobbo

Happy to help.

On the longer side, but certainly my 6 player game of choice if everyone is committed for a longer gaming session:

A Game of Thrones: The Board Game (Second Edition) - Diplomacy style game, can run long (3hrs) but fun the whole time.

On a lighter side, the following offer huge fun as well:

BANG! The Dice Game - Nice bluffing, dice rolling game.
Saboteur - Fun card game with deception, and team play
7 Wonders- drafting style card game, very low down time
The Great Dalmuti - Card Melding type game, where it pays to be on top

And lastly, one that you may already own the pieces for:
Liar's Dice - Never have had a bad experience with this. Fun for all

Cheers.

Medici for a Euro. Dune for an American game. For light wargames, I'd suggest Memoir '44: Operation Overlord or Commands & Colors: Ancients Expansion Pack #5 – Epic Ancients II, where you play with two teams of up to 4 people each.

This is what I was going to suggest.

It depends on what you want, I see your collection is mixed but I don't know what you like.

Lighter games I would suggest are:
For Sale
Dixit
Incan Gold

Medium Games
Flash Point Fire Rescue(my current favorite)
Betrayal at House on the Hill ( good ameritrash game)

Heavier Games
Railways of the World

I've played all of these and enjoy them all. Others I have not tried but might work:

7 wonders
Bonanza

Just because a game goes up to six doesn't mean it plays well with six. I'd argue that two of the higher ranked games up there which are in my top ten, Power Grid and Keyflower, are best with 4 and sub-optimal with 6.

If you want a game with a longer playing time that's ideal with 6 players:

A Game of Thrones: The Board Game (Second Edition)
Formula D

As for games that are playable in under an hour but still have some meat:

7 Wonders
Android: Infiltration
Condottiere

If you want party games though:

Dixit
Say Anything
Unnamed Object
For Sale
Wits & Wagers

Short, but intensive:
One Night Ultimate Werewolf - 3-10 players, ~6 min per game, easyish rules, a lot of double-think and bluffing, very adjustable to your group through various roles. The specialty of the game is that you are not always certain in which team you are yourself, so you should not volunteer too much information before other players.

The Resistance: Avalon - 5-10 players, ~30 min per game, best with odd number of players, but the balance can be adjusted through various special roles.

King of Tokyo - 3-6 players, 30-45min. Has player elimination, but is silly fun, with just enough strategy to luck.

Middle length or intensity:
Shadow Hunters - 4-8 players, best with 6+, an hour or so. A bit lighter and more random hidden team game.

Citadels - 2-8 players, best with 4-6 players, around an hour. Contain hidden role selection and your job is to build buildings. Slightly overstays its welcome with large number of players, but you can shorten the game by reducing the target number of buildings.

Longer/Epic:
A Game of Thrones: The Board Game (Second Edition) - 4-6 players, 3-5 hours, best with 6, not that great if the player's can't handle direct confrontation. Does contain bluffing and alliances and breaking those alliances.

Battlestar Galactica: The Board Game - 3-6 players, 2-4 hours (depending on your group, we play with all expansions in 2-2.5 hours). BSG is a resource management game with traitors, best with 5 players, but ok with 6. If you play with 4 or 6 players a lot, the Daybreak expansion is a worthwhile addition, because you'll get Cylon Leader Motives that are a really great way to balance 4- and 6-player games.

Cosmic Encounter - 3-5 players (get Cosmic Incursion to add the sixth player), around 90 minutes. A great game of variable player powers, bluffing and hand-management (and some negotiation), if you have the right group. So, perhaps try before you buy.

Nice choices. I'd add Dune and 1830: Railways & Robber Barons
for a pretty solid set of games.

Six players is really easy actually.

Moved from General Gaming to Recommendations.

I'll +1 Dixit as it's the game I've played most recently with 6.

One of my gaming groups is three couples. While it's much more challenging finding games for this group than for a four-player group, the examples below have all been successful.

Most party games, including
Dixit
Wits & Wagers

Several of my favourite longer Euros, such as
Power Grid (which I've played many times with six players; it works great)
Railways of the World (a better choice than Steam - which technically plays 6 but needs expansions to find a board on which that won't be far too crowded)

For quicker/lighter fare, there's
Bohnanza
Citadels
7 Wonders
Trans Europa (or TransAmerica if you prefer a US map)

And for thematic fun, there's
RoboRally

Or, if you have a long time set aside
Arkham Horror

Hi. Depends on what you're looking:

Party games (light): Mascarade, Dixit (light), Crazy Time (jungle speed-like, a bit hard to find), 6 nimmt! (very light), Rumble in the House

Deduction/Role games: The Resistance (Werewolf-like), Citadels, Libertalia (pirates!), BANG! (doesn't play very well with 6, has player elimination which I despise, but it's easy to find it around).

Card games: Rise of Augustus (bingo-like, great as a first game), Wizard (follow suit, bet # tricks you'll take), Skull King (like Wizard, but better), 7 Wonders (a bit tricky to explain but plays very easily)

Euro board games: Power Grid (great economic game)

Three other people in this thread would disagree with you (+me = 4) on Power Grid:

I would agree with you on Keyflower though. Although that game didn't really grab me much with four anyway.

Coup has quickly replace The Resistance for me as a hidden-role style game for larger player counts. Though both are still excellent games.

+1 Citadels. That game really should be in everyone's collection.

Disc Duelers is insane fun if you want a dexterity game.

Dungeon Guilds is a lot of fun.

Enemy Chocolatier is a fun little economic game that plays well with 6. Fish Cook is also an economic game from the same company that's newer, but I don't know how well it plays with 6.

I made a list, some time ago.

Europhile Reviews: Large Player Count (6+ player) games.

I would strongly recommend Airlines Europe. It has an official 6 player ruleset - you can find it on the BGG page.
