Well I was president of my university's Gaming society so I'm kind of into a wide variety of games. Unfortunately I haven't yet got a car so i'm limited to walking/public transport at the moment.

I need to be a bit careful of what I say, but my experience of Malvern is that there are lots of gamers, all of whom don't want, or can't be bothered to organise, to play with each other.

If anyone wants to get something up and running on a weekday night, I am happy to drop in and I probably know at least one other person who might.

Alternatively, Ross-on-Wye is only half an hour away. All-comers welcome.

I too have just come here to post that exact question!

We've just moved to Malvern - Malvern Wells to be precise - from Cambridge, to take over a guesthouse. There are three of us, myself, my wife and one son. Two other sons will be here occasionally. We're all keen game players - mostly Eurogames - see my collection. We hosted a small regular group in Cambridge.

Boardgaming is part of what we have planned for the guesthouse: partly by introducing guests to games beyond Monotony but largely because it's big enough to host a small con! Of course, it's a bit chaotic at the moment and full of semi-unpacked boxes, however, the game shelves are up and the games are unpacked.

Excellent. At the moment we're in moderate chaos - guests arriving Friday and not all the issues the previous owners left us have been resolved (leaking showers, broken taps..).

We should be able to arrange something very informal in a few weeks, especially if some gaming friends from Cambridge come over - watch this space.

My girlfriend just moved to Worcester for school and she says there's a game store/gaming group in the town, and I think a gaming group on the campus. I'll ask her for the info!

The only group I've found is here - http://www.boardgamegeek.com/guild/1196

I haven't been to a meet yet but plan on going next week.

If you do a con or a meet up I might be interested (based in Hereford) can't commit to regular events as I already have two closed groups and work away a lot.

What can work is doing it for charity. We travelled up to Lancaster to meet up with friends and play a day doing charity games.

I'm from Ledbury, the only gaming store I know is the one opposite Mothercare round the corner from the tattoo shop. It sells other things like cards and other toys (I think it's the one with the coin-op train outside).

As for groups, I have no idea of any. I do game alot with wife and son though.

Hello everyone.

My wife and I have set up Worcester Board Gamers (WoBoG). We currently meet every two weeks upstairs in the King Charles pub in Worcester.

We welcome people to bring their own games but we also have a few favourites such as Ticket to Ride, Battle Sheep, Castle Panic and Diamant (to name a few).

There is no guild on BGG yet but we have both a Facebook page and group:

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Worcester-Board-Gamers/296536...

https://www.facebook.com/groups/1487557608162547/

The next meeting will be on 29/10/14. We hope to see you there!

Paul

meeple Announcing DellCon 0.1 meeple

Excuse the short notice but we're having a games session at our (large) B&B on Wednesday 19th. We've invited the Worcester group (see above) which is a group I'd recommend BTW.

In the future we're hoping to run periodic "DellCon"s over weekends.

We're at The Dell House in Malvern Wells. Google will provide our location. On Wednesday, we're planning to start at 7pm. Arrive having eaten, and dress warm (heating needs an overhaul ). Any questions - probably simplest to PM me. It would be useful to have an idea of numbers.

Cheers, Kevin

As most people reading this will be local and not wanting accommodation note that we do have provision for day tickets on a first-come-first-served basis. See webpage for details.

After the success of DellCon 1 we're planning DellCon 2. We're looking at Friday June 26th to Sunday 28th. Format would be broadly as for #1 (the old page for which is at http://www.thedellhouse.co.uk/dellcon.html)

If this is of interest, drop me a line. In particular, if you'd like to make it but we've (again) picked a date that clashes with something else, let us know because this date is very tentative.

Cheers,
Kevin

How did I miss this?!

Yes I'm a Malvern board gamer and I'm part of a group that meets every week at the Cricketers in Worcester:

https://www.boardgamegeek.com/guild/1196

If anyone is interested in setting up a regular Malvern game night I'm all for it!
